Dreams For Breakfast

Wed 27.07.2022 — Wed 26.10.2022

Dreams For Breakfast shows the most recent work of Annique Delphine. All paintings were made during the past 12 months, having the common theme of hunger, lust, and a feminine urge to softly raise the voice against the objectification of all bodies.

Annique Delphine is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Berlin, Germany. Her work includes photography, video, installations, performance and recently also painting. Often using her work as a way to overcome her own traumas, Delphine believes in art as a way to promote personal and collective healing.

Her art practice focuses on the politicization and censorship of the body, feminine symbolism, sexuality, humanity's relationship with nature and society's obsession with social media and self image.

Life And Death

On the top layer, the color palettes of Annique's works subtly fuel the current summer vibes while the shapes strongly suggest but catch you in ambiguity at the same time. Beneath, the underlying theme of the continuous fight against objectification of any bodies makes itself heard with prolongued observation.
