As it perfectly fits its vision, OBLIK is partnering up with Housing the Human Festival 2019 and will be exhibiting selected showpieces immersed in prototypes portraying the future of living.
Housing the Human Festival brings together the arts, the science and the technological innovation. After a one-year development process of Housing the Human interdisciplinary project, the Festival will present the results of five selected institutions and organizations, working together in their aim to develop methods for a practical futurology.
Over the weekend, five selected prototypes will be on display and shared with the audience through discussions, performances, and workshops: from a circular kitchen system that upcycles food waste to a living space that accustoms itself to its inhabitant, and more.
The prototype Cloud Housing by Lucia Tahan features OBLIK's furniture as it aims to bring awareness of the impact of tech platforms that superimpose their operations on the urban space. The prototype consists of three objects: The first is a bot app that imagines a future in which housing has transformed into a decentralized, data-driven, generic, and experience-oriented platform.
