CUT Tisch

Two similar polyhedrons are the result of a single planar section executed on a standard carpenter saw. The initial tetrahedron is rotated by two axes before cutting. The outcome of the cut are two mirrored pieces used as the legs of the tables. Each of these parts are used for separate tables of a seemingly random geometry. Two sibling tables can be perceived as "left" and "right" entities coming from a single origin. The surfaces resulting from the cut are emphasized by use of contrasting colors. The table with detachable legs is made of solid pine wood.
