Tovar

Metal donkey Tovar is a minimalist redesign of a traditional wooden Mediterranean souvenir. Tovar means donkey on Dalmatian dialect (the designer’s home region in Croatia).

Donkeys are very important animals in Dalmatia and a symbol of the region. They used to be and still are of great help to people working on land, on the coast and on the islands. In those areas where there were always little or no walking paths, donkey was the most supportive domestic animal, always carrying a heavy burden on him, moving it on his back.
